Abstract
We realize an all-optical, tabletop effective negative-mass oscillator designed for coherent quantum noise cancellation. The compact and wavelength-flexible platform combines down-conversion and beam-splitting interactions and can be cascaded with an optomechanical sensor to suppress quantum back-action noise. Based on the measured system parameters, the experiment projects broadband quantum noise reduction of 3.6 dB, corresponding to a 77% reduction in quantum back-action noise at the optimum frequency.
